COG: FROM THE BOX – GRADING THE NEW GUYS

On this episode of CoG: From the Box, your hosts LA Galaxy Insider, Adam Serrano and Josh Guesman want to take you through the up and downs of the 2014 acquisitions.

In the offseason, Bruce Arena preached many things the LA Galaxy needed. They needed some target strikers and some width on the wings. They needed more depth on the bench, and they needed some of the role players to step up and take control of the team.

So Arena went out and acquired Target Forwards Rob Friend and Samuel. Then he got midfielders Baggio Husidic and Stefan Ishizaki. Finally Bruce added James Riley and Dan Gargan to the team as defenders.

This podcast attempts to grade these players on what we’ve seen from them this year. What have they done for the LA Galaxy? What potential is there? And can this person be a difference maker on the team.

And while some of these grades are easy to come up with, there’s at least one on this list that our hosts definitely disagree about.
