On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy, we take a quick look at your LA Galaxy ahead of the midweek matchup with the Colorado Rapids.
So with that in mind Josh joins up with LA Galaxy Insider, Adam Serrano, who’s traveling with the team, currently in Ohio. They talk the embarrassing loss to Columbus and what they think was the reason behind that rough 90 minutes. Was it defensive? Was it offensive? Was it Bruce Arena putting the team in a position to fail?
And what do we make of the late-game substitution of Robbie Rogers? He picked up an injury earlier in the week and had to be replaced in the 64th minute. Is this as simple as dropping Todd Dunivant into the mix? Is he ready? Does he contribute the same to the Galaxy offense? It’s an interesting tactical dilemma that should play itself out on Wednesday night.
Speaking of Wednesday night, the Galaxy face a shortened week on the road. Colorado is coming off their 3rd consecutive loss and have lost four of their last six. And, like the LA Galaxy, come off an embarrassing result – a 4-2 loss at DC United. So who will rebound the best? Will the LA Galaxy be able to pick up a point or three in Colorado? Because they haven’t been able to do that since 2012.
This is the time for the LA Galaxy. A bunch of “rapid” fire games, not to mention those elusive “Games In Hand.” If you want to make an actual run at the Supporters Shield, you need to start getting results on the road.
It’s a shorter than normal show, but it’s full of LA Galaxy information directly from the source. Thanks for Listening!
