CORNER OF THE GALAXY: ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH

On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy your hosts Josh Guesman and Jared DuBois take you for a walk through that thrilling and frustrating 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Colorado Rockies. And while they may have gone out on a high note, there is plenty to discuss that’s positive, it’s almost important to note the things that led to the Galaxy being down 3-1 at the midway point of the match. Is the defense up to the task of making the playoffs? Did Bruce Arena’s necessary changes to the lineup spell doom for the Galaxy? And how deep is this team? The guys discuss it all.

And because it was such a huge talking point both at halftime and after the game – is this a turning point for the LA Galaxy? Did this show what this team is made of? We want to know what you think. You can always email the show at CornerOfTheGalaxy@Gmail.com.

Then it’s off to talk about all the team news that has funneled in over the last week. We talk the LA Galaxy 5K (come run with Josh, it’ll be fun), new signings for LA Galaxy II, and the expansion of the LA Galaxy Academy system. Have the LA Galaxy ventured into enemy territory? If they have, then GOOD MOVE! We’ll discuss all that plus more and we’ll make sure you’re ready to lead the talk at the water cooler about your LA Galaxy.

Finally, the guys dive into the weekend matchup with the Vancouver Whitecaps. This will be the final meeting between these two Western Conference teams. The Galaxy won earlier in the year at StubHub and they’re looking to repeat that very important feat. A win on Saturday could mean a significant gap between the Galaxy and whomever ends up in that fifth and final playoff position. And if you have your eyes set on the Supporters Shield plus avoiding some of the better teams in the league, it would be a good idea to win this home game.

Like always it’s 100% LA Galaxy talk and discussion made for you, our listeners. We hope to see you out at the game on Saturday, and GO GALAXY!
