Updated: Added the LA Galaxy’s February 28th matchup with the San Jose Earthquakes in San Jose to the pre-season schedule.

12.22.2015 Update

(Carson, CA) The LA Galaxy announced their 2015 preseason schedule ahead of the March 6th home opener against the Chicago fire.

The highlight of the schedule includes two European Friendlies with European training time surrounding those dates.

But first, the players will report to StubHub center on Thursday, January 22 for physicals ahead of the start of training camp.

On Monday, February 16th, the LA Galaxy will take on Hammarby in Stockholm, Sweden. Hammarby, plays in Sweden’s top professional division and is owned, just like the Galaxy, by Anshutz Entertainment Company/Group (AEG).

The Galaxy will then fly back to Dublin, their point of origin for this European adventure, to take on Shamrock Rovers F.C. on Saturday Feb. 21. Shamrock Rovers F.C. is the most successful club in the first division of Irish football.

This game will also see 2014 MLS MVP, Robbie Keane, return to his hometown to play.

The complete published schedule is below and I would expect other “closed-door” or non-scheduled friendlies to take place prior to the early March kickoff.

Of course this entire schedule is predicated on Major League Soccer (MLS) and the MLS Players Union (MLSPU) reaching a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) or agreeing to continue under current terms until one is agreed upon. New CBA talks are scheduled to take place in late January.
