Regardless of the reasoning the LA Galaxy are losing a player that was the heart and soul of the team. Marcelo Sarvas will not be replaced easily and any move the Galaxy think of making will be scrutinized by fans.
Josh and Cory will also get you caught up on the first day of the MLS SuperDraft. Bruce Arena only had a single pick to make today and he got us a Nacho. Ignacio Maganto is now a member of the LA Galaxy (as long as he signs). Where will he play? How will he fit in? And where exactly is Iona College? They’ll answer all those questions – especially if the answers are “I don’t know.”
It’s a sad day for LA Galaxy fans, but Bruce Arena has never been afraid to make the difficult decision. Let’s hope this one pays off.
