The schedule for the USL PRO season has been released, giving us a chance to breakdown the key matches for LA Galaxy II — it looks to be a great season.
Key Matches
Sunday March 22nd vs Real Monarchs SLC – It’s the first game of the 2015 USL PRO season, and who better to square off against than the affiliate of Real Salt Lake — Real Monarchs SLC. The Monarchs are a new club and will be looking to get a head start on their inaugural season. Match will kickoff at 5 PM at the StubHub Track & Field Stadium.
Sunday April 12th vs Sacramento Republic SC – SoCal vs NorCal: Is there a better way to welcome our rivals from the north then as part of a doubleheader? This rivalry USL Pro game will follow the LA Galaxy vs Seattle Sounders game at 4 PM. Expect plenty of fire and attitude as Los Dos welcomes the defending USL PRO champs into Stubhub Center for a 7:30 PM kickoff. This game will be included in admission to the LA Galaxy vs Seattle Sounders game beforehand.
Saturday June 6th @ Orange County Blues FC – Los Dos will be traveling down to the OC for a Saturday night showdown at UC Irvine against the Orange County Blues FC, who were known as the LA Blues before. The OC Blues will definitely be a good test for LA Galaxy II’s form, as this will be the start of an eight game stretch on the road. The match at Anteater Stadium will be at 7:00 PM.
Sunday August 9th vs Arizona United SC – If last season was any indication, whenever these two teams play against each other it makes for a good game. This match will also be part of a doubleheader, with the senior side taking on the Seattle Sounders at 1 PM. LA Galaxy II will take the field at 4 PM. This is another game where your ticket to the LA Galaxy game can be used for both matches.
Sunday August 23rd vs Seattle Sounders FC 2 – This is the first matchup at home against the affiliate of the Seattle Sounders. The visiting team in rave green will come in with confidence, but Los Dos will surely be ready for this battle. This match is part of a big doubleheader, which will see LA Galaxy face New York City FC at 2 PM. So forget the traffic, and stay and watch LA Galaxy II play against the Sounders FC 2 at 5 PM.
Wednesday September 16th vs Portland Timbers FC 2 – The other team from Cascadia will be at the StubHub Track & Field Stadium for the last home USL PRO regular season game. That makes it the best chance to witness the growth of this team over the course of the season — and with USL PRO expanding to 24 teams, there’s a good chance this game will be decisive in determining the final standings. Kickoff is 7:30 PM.
Saturday September 19th @ Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC – This is the final game of the 2015 USL PRO Regular Season for LA Galaxy II. So why not play another expansion team in the Switchbacks? The Galaxy will be hoping to play well in this match to lead them on to a great playoff run and potential USL PRO Championship. This match will be played at Sand Creek Stadium, in Colorado, at 6:00 PM.
