The LA Galaxy signed goalkeeper Trey Mitchell this past Friday. The Galaxy recently are on the shortens of keepers with Jaime Penedo out due to international duties and Brian Perk suffering a broken ankle in the first USL game for Los Dos.
He was very excited for the new contract with the Galaxy:
Trey Mitchell is a local Southern California product who played for Citrus College in Glendora, CA and then went on to go play at Cal State Dominguez Hills, where the StubHub Center is located.
After his time at CSUDH, where he played great for them with a .85 GAA and 71 Saves, he went on to play for the Chivas USA reserves, and had trials Real Salt Lake as well as USL third division side, Louisville City, which lead to nowhere.
Mitchell was then given a chance with the LA Galaxy last week and was offered a contract to join the Galaxy.
“Trey is a talented goalkeeper who can provide us with solid depth,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena. “We are happy to add him to our roster and look forward to his contributions as a member of our team.”
Here are some highlights of new LA Galaxy goalkeeper, Trey Mitchell.
