FROM THE BOX: IS IT TIME FOR THE LA GALAXY TO GET YOUNGER?

On today’s show your hosts discuss the LA Galaxy’s Academy, USL, and MLS teams and how they’re using and developing young talent.

It’s another deep dive into the LA Galaxy’s development system and how the team is using and cultivating it’s young talent. There’s been well documented criticism of LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena for constructing a very “old” team in the offseason. With Ashley Cole, Robbie Keane, and Steven Gerrard all into their 35th year, and other “mature” talents like Jeff Larentowicz and Mike Magee signing with the team there’s no doubt that experience runs deep. But are there players capable of making a splash on the senior team that have been developed by the LA Galaxy’s Academy and USL teams?

Hosts Josh Guesman and LA Galaxy Insider Adam Serrano take a look at how the LA Galaxy have exploited Southern California for it’s soccer riches and how they keep talent locked away on LA Galaxy II and their Academy teams. Plus they’ll look onto the LA Galaxy II roster to find some of the guys who are ready to break free of the lower division and make a splash in Major League Soccer.

They’ll also discuss the experience of these younger kids and what they can offer up a very experienced team.
