On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy we get you updated on news from Saturday training with Bruce Arena and we sit down to talk with AJ DeLaGarza for an exclusive interview.
CoG Studios – We’re back with another ‘Short Corner’ update as we sit down with an extended one-on-one interview with LA Galaxy Defender, AJ DeLaGarza. In addition we’ll also get you all the training updates from Saturday and touch briefly on the July 4th game vs the Vancouver Whitecaps.
You’ll hear from LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena as he gives you updates on injured players and who could be available for the game on Monday night. There’s talk of Daniel Steres, Leonardo, Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes. And you’ll hear Bruce’s thoughts on the Monday night game as well.
But the real focus of this podcast is getting a chance to talk with the longest tenured LA Galaxy player, AJ DeLaGarza. AJ has been coming on the show from the very beginning and it’s always imperative that we touch bases with him throughout the year so we can get a feel for how this team is thinking. DeLaGarza will talk about his lack of playing time at the beginning of the year, the competitive nature of this year’s team, his growing family, and what he thinks of this LA Galaxy team as they get ready for the 2nd half of the season.
It’s a candid talk with a man who’s seen it all since he joined the LA Galaxy in 2009. And while I think the entire team is visibly tired from the multitude of back-to-back games, you can see that AJ is hopeful about the future of this particular team, even with all the travel and minutes that are still to come.
We’d like to thank AJ DeLaGarza and the LA Galaxy for giving us an opportunity to sit down and catch up.
