On today’s show your hosts discuss the wins of Houston and Seattle and take a quick look ahead to the game vs Portland. The vocabulary is excellent!
CoG Studios, CA – The LA Galaxy went out and won two more games and your hosts couldn’t be happier about it. Josh Guesman and Wendy Thomas give you everything you need to be the smartest LA Galaxy fans in your office.
RECAP: LA GALAXY VS HOUSTON
Our hosts will start off by recapping the game against Houston. And although it feels like it was forever ago, they’ll remind you that it was just last Friday that saw the Galaxy squeak by the Dynamo thanks to a second half goal from Steven Gerrard. But the night was probably marked more by the uncharacteristic lack of finishing from Robbie Keane than anything else. Should you be worried?
RECAP: LA GALAXY VS SEATTLE (USOC)
Then it’s on to the LA Galaxy’s 4-2 victory over the Seattle Sounders in the quarterfinals of the US Open Cup. It was an interesting night as the team was forced to play this game at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. And just shy of 4,000 people were in attendance. It was also a strange night because both teams tried to give their opponents at least one goal. Josh and Wendy will try and figure out if it was a good win and what does that mean for the rest of the tournament.
Finally they’ll discuss the LA Galaxy’s US Open Cup Semifinal and who and where the team will play. They’ll also tell you who could host the Open Cup Final and who you should be rooting for on the Eastern side of the bracket before getting you ready for the big game against the Portland Timbers on Saturday.
Here’s a hint: Josh is not feeling confident about the Galaxy’s chances on the road.
Thanks for joining us on Corner of the Galaxy and we hope we’ll see you again very, very soon.
