From the Box: Flat in NYC & Betting Your LA Galaxy House

On today’s show your host walks you through the LA Galaxy’s 1-0 loss to New York City FC and looks ahead to the midweek matchup with Chicago.

CoG Studios, CA – The LA Galaxy once again came out flat and gave up an early goal to allow New York City to outlast them in a 1-0 loss at Yankee Stadium. Your host, Josh Guesman, is going to walk you back throughs the major points you should take away from that game as well as what you should be worried about.

It was a flat and uneven performance from the LA Galaxy and the offensive struggles of the team were once again showcased in front of a national audience. Several chances weren’t converted and the star players the team is counting on haven’t been able to ring the bell. So are the Galaxy in trouble? Are players out of position? Should designated players be benched? It’s the absolute dog days of summer and LA are struggling to match their July performance.

Josh will challenge you to think about what you’ve seen over the last four games and decide for yourself if you’re confident in this LA Galaxy team. Would you bet your house on a three points versus the worst team in Major League Soccer? Josh will give you his opinion and talk about what is may be needed to correct some of the issues the team is facing.

Finally, we’ll look ahead to the LA Galaxy’s midweek game versus the Chicago Fire. Chicago may’ve just broken a big streak, but is that a good thing or a bad thing for this struggling LA team?

It’s a packed and condensed 30 minutes of LA Galaxy talk, and we’re even going to have time to take your calls into the CoG Hotline.
