On today’s show, your hosts will discuss the playoff races in both conferences while giving you the inside track on if the LA Galaxy can escape with the Supporters’ Shield.

CoG Studios, CA – The LA Galaxy have positioned themselves for a late-year run for the Supporters’ Shield. And on today’s show, we’re going to discuss their chances along with going over the entire league to help you zero in on the teams to watch down the stretch.

Joining hosts Josh Guesman and LA Galaxy Insider to help break it all down, is FourFourTwo’s Scott French (@ScottJFrench).

Together, the guys will discuss each conference while trying to ferret out the teams who are in the hunt for those top two positions. They’ll also look at the teams that could fall out of the playoffs and what that means for the teams below the red line.

They’ll start in the Eastern Conference where a favorable stretch of games for Toronto FC could mean a steal of the Supporters’ Shield. But with an injury to the likely league MVP, it isn’t a lock. And both New York Teams are right behind them.

And DC United and Orlando are looking up at the playoff race, but could Montreal, or New England fall out to give those teams a way into the post-season?

Then the guys turn their attention to the Western Conference where two teams have been near the top of the table for most of the year. But is it possible that Colorado is on their way down even with two games in hand? And what does that mean for the LA Galaxy? With two games against league leaders, FC Dallas, is it finally time an underperforming team from LA hits it’s stride and steals the Supporters’ Shield and locks in one of those top 2 spots in the West?

It’s a great show that discusses all the teams around the league and looks at what the LA Galaxy have to do to surprise this league. Even for a team that hasn’t lived up to expectations, the Galaxy are on the cusp of making one of their signature late runs towards the playoffs. And with Seattle fighting for a playoff spot and LA fighting for a Shield, Sunday should be a lot of fun.
