Podcast: An LA Galaxy Cruise Ship in a Cul-De-Sac

On today’s show, your hosts run down a timeline of Robbie Rogers’ injury and why the LA Galaxy are “all in” on Curt Onalfo.

CoG Studios, CA – The LA Galaxy are quickly closing in on the start of the 2017 Major League Soccer season. And your hosts, Josh Guesman and LA Times Soccer Writer, Kevin Baxter, are also starting to shake off all that offseason rust.

First, the guys will go over the latest preseason results, and why, once again, they don’t matter. But it’s also about what we’re learning from Curt Onalfo’s starting lineups and who could be and should be available for the season opener. With some special focus on the newest arrival, Romain Alessandrini.

Then in a CoG: From the Box exclusive, Kevin Baxter will expand upon the story he recently published in the LA Times where he talks about the extent of the injury to Robbie Rogers and what he learned from talking to the player. He’ll share some insight into when the Galaxy knew what, and what kind of pressure that could put on the team as they head into the last remaining days of the preseason.

Then Josh and Kevin talk about players that must have a big season for this team if LA are to be successful this year. Some of these names are easy to figure out, and some may surprise you. Who do you think needs to have an outstanding season for the team this year?

Finally, your hosts will take your questions and throw in any other tidbit of information they have about the team, the league, and why it’s important to be truthful. It’s not always about looking good. Sometimes it’s important to tell people about the journey. Do you have your own Galaxy journey to talk about? Much like the one Josh shares? We’d love to hear it.

It’s another almost, 60-minutes of LA Galaxy talk and we’re glad that you could join us.
