On today’s show, the guys do their best to cover all the angles from the LA Galaxy and their loss to NYCFC. Your calls, tweets, and complaints, right here on Corner of the Galaxy.
CoG Studios, CA – The LA Galaxy lost 2-0 to New York City FC over the weekend but we’ve got a ton of different ways to look at this game. And some of them are downright rosy.
Your hosts, Josh Guesman and LA Times Soccer Writer Kevin Baxter give you over 90-minutes of Galaxy talk to get you updated on your team. And the guys will answer your questions and take your calls in order to get you their thoughts and opinions on what is happening with the team.
First, Josh and Kevin will go over the highlights and lowlights from the loss to NYCFC. Did Gyasi Zardes do enough on the night? Was Brian Rowe good enough in goal? And was Jermaine Jones the man-of-the-match?
They’ll tell you how Galaxy head coach fired up the big bus and then threw some players under it while also complimenting one player who may be the Galaxy’s hardest worker. It’s a great way to look at the game and the guys provide you a wonderful lens in which to view it.
Next, they’ll transition to giving you, player by player, the guys they expect to be around next year. That means you’ll also learn about guys who are gone as well. You’ll be surprised by some of the names that Josh and Kevin are okay parting with and you’ll be angry at some of the names they think the Galaxy will keep.
They’ll also tell you how the NFL is slowing taking over StubHub Center and why that may not hurt the Galaxy even if it may hurt your eyes.
It’s a great show packed with insight into the team you won’t find anywhere else!
