Podcast: Would the LA Galaxy Welcome Bruce Arena Back? And MLS Needs to Focus!

On today’s show, your hosts talk about Major League Soccer’s role, and what the LA Galaxy are trying to accomplish every single year. Plus they’ll get you ready for Minnesota!

CoG Studios, CA – The LA Galaxy are only two games from the end of a disastrous 2017 season. And with US Soccer not qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, there are going to be a lot of questions surrounding Major League Soccer. On this show, we’re going to address some of those questions and remind people that MLS has very little interest in the US Men’s National Team. And honestly, neither do the Galaxy.

Your hosts Josh Guesman and regular LAGalaxy.com contributor Larry Morgan can’t wait to talk about Galaxy soccer. But in order to do that, they’re going to talk about why MLS has been making rules for international players and pushing domestic players out the other door.

Should the LA Galaxy be focused on developing the next USMNT player? Should they be worried about the development of the league? Or are they focused on winning an MLS Cup every year and don’t care about who gets them there?

Next, the guys will take a look at Bruce Arena. Could he possibly have a place with the Galaxy if and when he steps down from the head coach of the US National Team? What history is there? And where else could you see Arena landing? It might surprise you.

The guys will also discuss many of the deficiencies of the current organization and whether Arena would help in any meaningful way?

Finally, Josh and Larry will get you ready for the final home game of 2017 as the Galaxy host Minnesota United with several, really bad records on the line. Can the Galaxy finish above at least one of the teams that didn’t exist last year?

This show is all about soccer and it talks about some serious issues that face MLS and the Galaxy. It’s not smooth sailing for MLS in this World Cup drought, but it might finally be time for MLS to grow up away from always being attached with US Soccer.
