Podcast: A Home Win for the LA Galaxy, A Wooden Spoon, and Beaches

On today’s show, your hosts talk about the LA Galaxy victory over Minnesota United as well as discuss some of the issues the club might have with players in 2018.

COG STUDIOS, Calif — The LA Galaxy got that elusive home win and moved away from having the fewest number of home wins in MLS history. They also got their third shutout win at home – a stat that somehow explains this terrible season all by itself.

Your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter will walk you through the big takeaways from the victory including talking about players that didn’t even make the bench. Is João Pedro’s time with the Galaxy limited? And why was Gyasi Zardes in the press box before the game?

The guys will also discuss Jermaine Jones and his future for next year. Is he a problem in the locker room? Or is his veteran leadership something the Galaxy will need in 2018? And will Ashley Cole stay with the Galaxy next year? Or will he finally find those beaches he’s been talking about?

Josh and Kevin will also tell you which way they voted for the Galaxy’s MVP and Defender of the Year award and they’ll give you behind the scenes polling information so you can figure out the result before anyone else.

Finally, the guys will talk about what the last game against FC Dallas means and why it’s important to both teams. Can the Galaxy avoid the wooden spoon in Texas? Or will they set another franchise record? There have already been so many.

We’d also like to send out a special thanks to everyone who met us at the stadium. Your support means the world to us and we’re glad that you could join us. It was so much fun handing out prizes and getting to talk to each and every one of you. Let’s do it again!
