Podcast: Traveling with Zlatan, Plus the LA Galaxy Beat the Weather and the Fire

On today’s show, your hosts will get you a behind-the-scenes look at how Zlatan Ibrahimovic traveled for his first LA Galaxy road trip. Plus, tons of game talk!

CoG Studios, CA — The LA Galaxy went into some awful weather conditions and beat the Chicago Fire thanks to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal. And unbeknownst to almost all involved (not really) we (not CoG) snuck LA Times soccer reporter Kevin Baxter onto the plane (he wasn’t sneaky) to give us a look behind the white, blue, and gold curtain as the Galaxy went from LAX to Chicago.

Along with hosts Josh Guesman, Kevin will give you a look at how Ibrahimovic is fitting in with the team and what it was like to see a world super-star travel via commercial aviation. Plus, there are some great moments that only CoG can bring you.

Kevin and Josh will discuss the weather conditions for the game, the starting lineup, and how Ibrahimovic was able to play 80 minutes when his previous game only saw him get 30 minutes. And also dig deep into topics that you wanted us to talk about. Including whether or not Ola Kamara is fitting in with the Galaxy’s offense, and if Ibrahimovic is sucking all the air out of the what the Galaxy are trying to do.

Plus, the guys will get back into talking about Giovani dos Santos. Is he one of the best eleven players on the team? And if he’s healthy will he take a spot away from someone who’s the Galaxy probably want on the field? Can you sit $5.5 million dollars and use Gio as a sub?!

There are a ton of questions and a bunch of answers!

Finally, the Galaxy will face the biggest test of the season as Atlanta United make their first-ever trip to StubHub Center. The defense will need to be on its toes and the Galaxy will need a healthy dose of Zlatan if they’re going to succeed!

Thanks for listening! We’re glad you could join us for some really fun Galaxy Talk!
