On today’s show, your hosts will walk you through the springtime release of the MLS Players Union Salary Survey. The guys will break down the numbers and tell you where the LA Galaxy are grossly overspending!
CoG Studios, CA — The LA Galaxy have a huge game coming up against FC Dallas but that isn’t even the biggest news of the day! Thanks to the gift that keeps on giving, the MLS Players Union has released it’s springtime Salary Survey to allow us to dive into all the gory details!
Hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are back to take you through all the most important Galaxy news and to also answer your calls and questions.
First, the guys start with the numbers. How much does each player make, where are the raises, where are the contract adjustments and why on earth is Romain Alessandrini making less than he was last year? Plus, he reported in the LA Times, and it actually came true – Jorgen Skjelvik, as reported by Josh, is the highest paid defender in the league at $1-million in total compensation. What does that mean for the Galaxy? And what does that mean for the rest of the league?
And as fast as we start the numbers conversation, we get some great calls to help us out.
We’re going to answer all those calls and continue to break down the Galaxy’s roster into bite-sized pieces as we discuss Giovani dos Santos’ salary, Perry Kitchen, Jonathan dos Santos, and almost everyone else. Including Ashley Cole’s large salary increase!
But could all of the Galaxy’s defensive and offensive struggles be fixed by some coaching changes?
Next, the guys will be joined by Galaxy play-by-play announcer Christian Miles. Christian will talk about the Galaxy’s struggles early in the season and start to lead the conversation in the direction of the game on FC Dallas.
And when the guys get back, they’ll power through the game this weekend and why, or why not, Dallas might be prime for the taking. It’s a great show, filled with some of the best Galaxy-talk you can find! And as always, thanks for joining us!
