Podcast: LA Galaxy head north for the second, and final, Cali-Clasico of 2018

On today’s show, your hosts get you ready for the trip up north as the LA Galaxy get ready to face off against the San Jose Earthquakes at Stanford Stadium. Is this a guaranteed win?!

CoG Studios, CA — The LA Galaxy had a nice relaxing World Cup hiatus and are now back on the training field readying themselves for a matchup that should have them fully focused. But anytime the club has made it to Stanford Stadium, they’re in for a fight. Even if the SJ Earthquakes have only won two games on the year and are the second to worst team in the league.

So does this mean a guaranteed win?

Your hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are back from their vacations to get you ready for the last Cali-Clasico of the year. And they’re also back to make sure you’re ready with all the Galaxy news and speculation you can manage!

First, the guys will give you an update on Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos and what they’ve accomplished in the 2018 World Cup. Is their lack of playing time a good thing or a bad thing? And can it all be simply explained? It’s funny how for every positive there’s an equally important negative and how that could all shake out for the transfer window.

And with the transfer window getting ready to open up in July, where are the Galaxy focused. Is moving anyone named Dos Santos really on the block? Or should the club focus on another very important position? And should the focus be on this year? Or building for next year?

In fact, there’s a detailed discussion that needs to take place: are the Galaxy good enough this year or should they be planning for the following year?

Finally, the guys will make sure you have the information on the Earthquakes and why playing at Standford Stadium has always been very kind to them. Can the Galaxy shake that up?
