On today’s show, your hosts get you the latest on the LA Galaxy hunt for Dennis te Kloese, Romain Alessandrini’s Instagram post, and why the club will be in competition with another tenant at StubHub Center.
COG STUDIOS, Calif. — It’s not every Monday that you can wake up and immediately have a panic attack over your favorite Galaxy player posting something very cryptic on Instagram. But that’s what happened on this Monday and we’re glad we can bring you some news on the entire, very strange, situation.
Your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are back with another offseason update. And just like all their previous updates, it starts with the Galaxy not having announced either a General Manager or a head coach. But something different is in the air this time and the guys want to tell you why it seems that all signs are pointing to Dennis te Kloese as the Galaxy next head of Soccer Operations.
But without an official announcement, is it too soon to say that te Kloese already has his fingerprints over this team? And even if the Galaxy make an immediate announcement, how long until the club can announce a head coach? Does the timing worry anyone?
The Galaxy seem to be getting the right guy for the job but te Kloese now seems like he’s going to have a bit of a monumental task to organize the Galaxy’s offseason and find a complete coaching staff before the club must report for the preseason.
Josh and Kevin will get you updated on the Galaxy losing a goalkeeping coach and they’ll talk about the impending deadline to get ready for the half-day trade window, as well as the 2018 Expansion Draft. The Galaxy need to start protecting players, as December 11th creeps closer.
Finally, the guys give you another interesting Alumni incident — this time complete with assault rifles — and talk about the XFL coming to StubHub center.
It’s a packed show even as Kevin slowly drives back from the airport!
