Podcast: Surprise Porter sighting. Plus, Schmid in the hospital.

On today’s show, your hosts will get you updated on Sigi Schmid’s hospitalization and on a surprise sighting of Caleb Porter at a Laker’s game.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The entire LA Galaxy and MLS family is currently holding their collective breaths as former Galaxy boss and 18-year veteran of Major League Soccer, Sigi Schmid, has been admitted to the UCLA Medical Center in a very serious condition.

Your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are back to get you updated on the latest news surrounding Schmid and why the outpouring of support shows how much of an impact he’s had on the fabric of the soccer in the United States.

The entire CoG family wishes Schmid a speedy recovery. And your thoughts and prayers are very much warranted at this point.

Josh and Kevin will also go back over MLS Cup in hopes of mining Atlanta United’s success and why the Galaxy have to think differently then they have. We’re not talking about a re-brand, but we are talking about a change in philosophy.

Then the guys will get one more shot at debunking the Zlatan Ibrahimovic to AC Milan rumor before doing something they’ve never had to do before: we’re going to break into our own show for news that wasn’t there when we first recorded. And it’s a big one!

Follow along with “two idiots who talk about soccer” and figure out if the Galaxy are headed in the right direction. After all, one wrong move and the 2019 season could be the same disaster the 2017 and 2018 seasons were
