Discussing the LA Galaxy loss to Columbus and asking the questions about squad rotation that Schelotto should answer.
COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy are coming off back-to-back losses for the first time this season and never looked comfortable as the Columbus Crew ran them into the ground during their midweek loss. Does that mean Guillermo Barros Schelotto got it all wrong?
On today’s show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Larry Morgan are back to talk some Galaxy. They’re going to do the usual show stuff of getting you updated on Galaxy news, but they’re also really going to dig into the problems in Columbus.
To start, the guys will discuss the issue of fatigue. Do professional soccer players need that much rest between games? And do they need it after only 11 games in the season? If you’re a fatigue-denier, you’re going to want to listen. Because facts don’t lie, that’s what makes them facts.
And the guys will talk about the other big problem with the Galaxy’s loss, and that’s the injury to Jonathan dos Santos. What does that mean for the Galaxy? And what does it mean heading into a weekend match with a team that has been sneaky good?
Josh and Larry will also discuss the addition of Favio Alvarez and tell you that his paperwork issues could keep him off the team sheet come Saturday. But they’ll give you looks and lineups for both scenarios, and they both don’t include dos Santos.
Finally, the guys get you ready for the New York City match complete with a Larry Morgan dramatic intro to the game, and you’ll get to hear Josh’s sure-to-be-wrong picks for the outcome.
It’s a packed show full of Galaxy-talk, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and that one time Larry went to Wango Tango. Are you ready for some soccer-talk?
