COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy made a huge splash when they signed Cristian Pavon today. But the real story is about the details that led up to the signing and our very own Josh Guesman is here to walk you through the agonizing wait for the deal to become official.
Joining Josh today is guest-co-host, Delmy Barillas. Delmy was at the stadium today as Pavon officially trained for the first time and was also at his introductory press conference.
Together, Josh and Delmy are going to walk you through all the Galaxy’s Transfer Day deals and give you the details that will help you determine if the Galaxy did well during the window. And they’re also going to get you behind-the-scenes and let you know that the Galaxy didn’t have Pavon signed until 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Then they’re going to tell you why there’s controversy surrounding the move, and when you break it down, there’s no controversy at all. The Galaxy, and especially Dennis te Kloese, played by all the rules, and put together one of the craziest loans in MLS history. How it benefits the club are nearly endless, and the dollar amount is just about right!
But outside of the loan deal for Pavon, the Galaxy will have to deal with two former players in Ola Kamara and Emmanuel Boateng when they face off against DC United this Sunday.
