Podcast: Galaxy win over Dallas already started their playoff run

Josh may be on vacation, but he still has a couple minutes to update you on the Galaxy’s win over Dallas and to look briefly ahead to Seattle.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy got a big victory over FC Dallas on Saturday night. And that means they’re right back in the thick of the playoff hunt.

But one guy wasn’t at the game on Wednesday night. No, one guy was 2,680 miles away in the beautiful state of Maryland watching on his phone while his pregnant wife was sleeping. This man is, of course, Josh Guesman.

And coming from a Country Inn & Suites, Josh is ready to give you 30 brief minutes of Galaxy talk that will get you through the win over FC Dallas and prepare you for the game against Seattle on Saturday night.

Josh will start by talking about some of the more significant issues on the night, including the sloppy passing, and the lack of difference-makers on the field to start the game. And he’ll touch on the Galaxy’s significant second-half additions that opened up the game for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score two goals.

Cristian Pavon also had a big night, and there’s a reason he’s the Man of the Match and not Ibrahimovic.

Plus, there’s one player that Josh wouldn’t have let out of the locker room at halftime, but it’s a good thing Josh doesn’t coach the team.

Then looking at the standings and the schedule, the talk of the Galaxy winning out seems more than overblown. It seems ridiculous. So can the Galaxy still get to the playoffs without winning all of their last nine games? This isn’t that hard to understand.

The schedule is a tough one, and the Galaxy still have a big mountain to climb. But on thing is sure; the Galaxy started their very own playoff run on Wednesday night, and that will continue for the remaining games of the 2019 season.
