The LA Galaxy will battle Montreal to pick up some playoff positioning, plus Ibrahimovic wants the league goal-scoring record.
COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy have just four games left to secure their spot into the MLS Playoffs. But Zlatan Ibrahimovic has some individual awards to go after that could also help the Galaxy down the stretch!
On today’s show your hosts, Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira, are breaking down the remaining days left in the season and are focused on getting you ready for the Montreal Impact on Saturday night!
They’ll start by cleaning up the game with Sporting KC and telling which MLS records the Galaxy broke last Sunday night in their 7-2 win.
Then the guys will focus on the Golden Boot race and why Zlatan Ibrahimovic should be considered a favorite to win it coming down the stretch. And if Ibrahimovic can score enough goals to catch Carlos Vela and stay ahead of Josef Martinez, could that also mean that he could set the league’s goalscoring record and become the MLS MVP?
Speaking of MVP, Josh finds a weird conundrum in Ibrahimovic possibly winning that award, and the guys will tell you which Galaxy players have been nominated for the season-long awards. And they’ll also tell you the player most likely to win an award from the club.
Eric will also breakdown the games you need to watch this weekend and tell you what results would benefit the Galaxy. And the standings play a massive part of those results as well.
Finally, the guys get you ready for the game against the Impact and Eric gives you his most excellent Canadian puns to get you ready for that 7:30 kick-off.
And since you’re asking, we’ve got stickers on the way. So stay tuned for that release date for our newest additions to the store!
We’ve got a packed show with some great quotes from Jonathan dos Santos and a healthy dose of not taking ourselves too seriously (We’re no. 1426 and huge in Cambodia).
Thanks for joining us!
