Podcast: Grading the Galaxy with missing pieces, and will MLS start on time?

The LA Galaxy have a lot of work to do but the transfer window hasn’t even opened yet (seriously). Can they improve before the first kick?

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — Remember, it’s not just the preseason for players and coaches, it’s also the preseason for us. So while we upgrade some things in the studio, we give you a live-ish show that gets you updated on transfer windows, roster deadlines, and rumors. And along the way, we’ll also grade the LA Galaxy on their offseason and tell you why a passing grade is still waiting on some moves.

On today’s show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira get together to discuss all things Galaxy while also navigating all the technical issues from earlier in the afternoon.

But what you get from this show is a frank conversation about the Collective Bargaining Agreement and why a joint announcement today is setting the stage for a showdown right around the time the CONCACAF Champions League is kicking off. Could MLS teams forfeit their chance at a regional tournament?

Plus, the guys go over the Galaxy’s Preseason Roster and tell you what’s missing and who got new numbers. Could the Galaxy be showing us a sign of what’s to come in 2020 with the roster? And who is likely the next Homegrown signing?

We’ve got a packed show that with a couple of shoutouts. And of course, the new music that you love to hate or hate to love!

And don’t forget, we’ve got a live show on February 22, 2020, at 2 PM inside of Dignity Health Sports Park. Please get your tickets for the preseason game and talk some Galaxy with us!

Thanks for joining us on this edition of Corner of the Galaxy! The season is creeping up on us! So let’s get ready together!
