Podcast: For the Galaxy, Alan Franco is Schrödinger’s Cat

With the preseason over, the guys will walk you through the draw with Chicago and find out if all the questions have been answered about this LA Galaxy team.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy have officially ended the 2020 preseason and are beginning their prep for the season-opener in Houston on Saturday. But before they get to travel to take on the Dynamo, they had to face off against the Chicago Fire in their final preseason matchup.

On today’s show, your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the lessons learned from the draw with the Fire and get into some of the details that could make or break the Galaxy’s season.

The guys will touch on Chicharito and his absence of goals, and why Sacha Kljestan could be a difference-maker in 2020. But they’ll also talk about why Rolf Feltscher seems to have turned a corner and why the defense is still, in general, a work in progress.

Josh and Kevin will also discuss the roster additions they still see coming before the transfer deadline and tell you what move that was made today could mean absolutely nothing!

Kevin will tell you what the Galaxy’s travel plans look like for Saturday’s game and tell you why he’s headed to Houston for the game.

Plus, there’s a frank discussion about Alan Franco and why he’s this year’s version of Schrödinger’s Cat. Is he coming? Maybe. Is the deal dead? Maybe. What’s going on? We’ll try and explain.

We’ve got a packed show for you as you get ready for the first game-week of 2020. We hope you enjoy every minute of it!

And don’t forget to order a shirt or two!
