Podcast: The one with the Galaxy in NWSL, TV Fights, COVID Cases, and Transfer Windows

The Galaxy could be involved in bringing an NWSL team to LA, and the transfer window is about to open

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — We’re having a conversation on this show that we never really expected to have. We’ve talked about this before, but it never quite seemed possible. So, on today’s show, we’re talking about how the LA Galaxy may have a small or large part in bringing an NWSL to Los Angeles. Wow!

Your hosts for the show, Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira, are back to bring you the latest updates on the Galaxy and Major League Soccer. With the scheduled return of the league starting with the aptly named “MLS is Back” tournament in Orlando, there’s a bunch of infighting going on between the TV networks, and the guys have your updates on that. It’s also the reason why the schedule is not here yet.

Josh and Eric will discuss the rise in COVID-19 cases in Florida and Orlando, talk about the precautions the NBA is going through when they hold their tournament at Disney World, and touch on Bruce Arena’s anthem comments. Does Bruce have a point — he usually does!

Finally, the guys update you on the transfer windows that could be coming for MLS, talk about positive tests from Atlanta United and Inter Miami players, and answer a bunch of your questions.

But there’s an excellent discussion on what we know about the likelihood an NWSL team is in the works for LA and what an “operating partner” might mean with regards to the Galaxy’s involvement with this team.

Can you say hello to Alex Morgan and Christen Press as they put on the kits for Angel City Football Club? Maybe the name needs work?

We’ve got a packed show ready and waiting for you today. This one doesn’t skimp on the details or the talking points!
