Podcast: ‘Way Last’ Galaxy can’t convince of a plan

It’s another transformative offseason for the LA Galaxy. But when they’ve been wrong so many times, why do you trust them this time? You probably don’t!

COG STUDIOS, Calif.  There’s no soccer planned for quite some time for the LA Galaxy. But they held an interesting press conference that was full of “accountability” and then didn’t signal any significant changes headed your way.

On today’s show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira discuss many different topics, but it’s not exactly going to be rainbows and unicorns.

The guys will start with announcing the Galaxy Team Awards and put Cristian Pavon’s season into perspective. Later in the show, there’s some more transfer talk surrounding Pavon, and it’s important to note that there seems to have been a sizeable shift in position from both the Galaxy and Boca Juniors. Does that mean Pavon could be staying with the Galaxy?

Josh and Eric will then dive into the postseason press conference that had Galaxy President Chris Klein discuss the many ways that the club got it all wrong. But are there any suggestions on how they’re going to fix it? Does the tone seem different than after the failures of the 2017 and 2018 seasons? And have the Galaxy, at any time since Bruce Arena left, kept pace with the rest of the league?

We’ll admit it! It’s a pessimistic view of the Galaxy’s future, but what are there reasons to be optimistic when the same things keep happening?

The guys will also get you updated on the state of contracts on the Galaxy before bringing you the offseason dates that are just around the corner. The bottom line is that the Galaxy are already having to make decisions about their future, and they don’t have a head coach to help with that.

We’ve got a packed show, and we’re thrilled that you could join us this season. We’re looking forward to keeping you updated in the offseason. Keep us close! Changes are coming for this club! But will they be the right changes?
