PODCAST: Disaster Decision Day for Galaxy. It didn’t have to be this way.

Out of the playoffs for all of five minutes, the LA Galaxy will watch the postseason from their homes instead of the field.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — Should we even be here talking about an LA Galaxy season that shouldn’t be over? Can we talk about a blown call in a game that was more than 1,500 miles away? Can we blame a team that couldn’t get it done at home? And can we say goodbye to a member of CoG that has been integral to its success?

Well, we’re going to talk about all of it. We’re going to go over a game the Galaxy shouldn’t have lost, and we’re going to talk about a coach that got some things wrong on the night.

And while doing all of that, we’re going to look back on a season that had plenty of opportunities and very little execution. The bottom line is that this Galaxy team wasn’t ready to be in the playoffs. And playing against Minnesota at home, they didn’t have the experience to get a result.

We’ll also discuss Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and why Julian Araujo has a lot to learn about the really big games.

Finally, we’ll talk about Dennis te Kloese’s future with the Galaxy and figure out why that situation may come to a head very quickly.

The offseason starts right now, and we’ve got a lot to cover in a relatively short amount of time!
