PODCAST: A ticking clock on Chicharito and a game-changing red card for the LA Galaxy

Can you figure out what this LA Galaxy team wants to be? Are they a good team playing badly or a bad team occasionally playing well? Let’s talk!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — If you only made it through the first 45-minutes of the LA Galaxy’s 3-2 loss to Minnesota United on Wednesday, we’re not going to blame you.

A 25th-minute red card to Kevin Cabral threw the game- already 1-0 to the visitors- into even greater disarray.

But could some positives come out of a second half that was reminiscent of some of the better performances the Galaxy have had this year? Is scoring two goals while down a man enough of a gut check for this team?

And has Greg Vanney already lost the team?

On today’s show, hosts Josh Guesman and special guest host Nikki Kay (SpectrumSN sports/sideline reporter) want to talk about this wild Galaxy game.

Josh and Nikki will start by reminding everyone that the transfer window is open, and Nikki will tell you what Vanney is expecting from a new defensive midfielder.

Then it’s a deep dive into some of the good and a lot of the bad of the game against Minnesota. What did Nikki see from the sidelines? What reaction did the team provide in the last 45 minutes? And is the clock ticking on Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez to start scoring goals and looking dangerous?

Then Josh and Nikki want to prepare you for Spectrum’s coverage of the July 4th matchup between LA and CF Montreal. Can a Montreal side that just outplayed Seattle falter against a Galaxy team that can’t decide if they’re good or not?

We’ve got a lot to talk about, and we’ll need you to listen along!

Thanks for coming to this Corner of the Galaxy!
