CARSON, Calif. — The LA Galaxy will open their season against Leo Messi and Inter Miami CF. The game scheduled for Sunday, February 25th, will be held at Dignity Health Sports Park and kick-off at 5:30 PM on Apple TV’s MLS Season pass.
It’s one of the two big highlights of a 2024 season, consisting of a league scheduled 34 games in the regular season.
The other big game will be a repeat of last year’s El Trafico matchup at the Rose Bowl between the Galaxy and LAFC. That game will once again kick off on July 4th at the Galaxy’s former home for a raucous 7:30 PM kickoff.
Other notable games would be the Galaxy traveling to LAFC on Saturday, April 6, for a 4:30 PM kickoff on Apple TV and FOX and the return leg of that game on Saturday, September 14, at home for a 7:30 PM kickoff. A Decision Day game in Texas against the Houston Dynamo could also mark a significant game for the Galaxy, who always seemed linked with the orange team at the end of the year.
The Galaxy will host three Eastern Conference opponents — Inter Miami, New York City FC, and Atlanta United FC, and travel for three others — Nashville SC, Charlotte FC, and Chicago Fire FC.
The Galaxy never play more than two road games in a row and have a three-game regular season homestand over the course of more than a month in July and August.
That “Homestand” will be interrupted by Leagues Cup matches likely taking up the gap left by a home game against the Portland Timbers on July 20 and another home game against Atlanta United on August 24.
A previous leak of the schedule was circulating around social media, but it was missing the 34th game against the Houston Dynamo on Decision Day.

As part of the 2024 schedule announcement, the LA Galaxy announced the club’s promotional nights for home contests at Dignity Health Sports Park, with special ticket packs and stadium giveaways offered for Star Wars Night on Saturday, May 11; Pride Night on Saturday, June 15; Throwback Night on Wednesday, July 17; a special Surprise Night on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Vamos Galaxy Night on Saturday, Oct 5. Additionally, the LA Galaxy announced the continuation of the LAX Away Travel program presented by Alaska Airlines. More information on discounted hotel and tickets will be available in the coming year.
