Podcast: Waiting for room service

COG STUDIOS, Calif. – The LA Galaxy got through their first official preseason game on Saturday as they drew with Toronto FC by a score of 1-1. The Galaxy got several really good performances out of the new additions to the club and found some standouts that may have surprised some observers.

On today’s show, your host Josh Guesman – who’s recording from a hotel room in Atlanta – walks you through the Galaxy’s starting lineups and the big takeaways from the game.

First, Josh discusses the impressive play of Uriel Antuna, Romain Alessandrini, and Diego Polenta. Along the way, he’ll discuss the positioning of each player and why they were able to combine well with others around them.

Plus, he’ll talk about how the Galaxy were way short on offense without Ola Kamara, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Josh will also discuss the other injury and illness absences from the team the main locations where the Galaxy are really short on depth.

Josh will also discuss the rumors surround Giovani dos Santos and Chivas. Is there any truth that the Mexican International will be headed south this summer? Or is this just more hot air?

Finally, Josh will get you the latest on the David Beckham statue that will grace the front of Dignity Health Sports Park and discuss the addition to the ring of honor.

We’ve got a packed show and we’re glad you could join us!
