Podcast: The one with the Galaxy Tournament Schedule, a squeak toy, and a ‘new’ player

The LA Galaxy are getting prepped for Orlando by finally adding midfielder Kai Koreniuk. What can the youngster bring? And will the Pandemic stall the tournament and season?

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy finally have a schedule for the three group stage games that the Galaxy will be playing in Orlando. And we want to talk about it.

Hosts Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou are back to discuss all your latest Galaxy news.

That includes the signing of LA Galaxy II midfielder Kai Koreniuk, and some outstanding deeds by Galaxy youngster, Julian Araujo. Is this somewhat selective youth movement going to serve the Galaxy well in the long term?

Plus, as we do every year, we’re going to look back at one of the craziest days in Galaxy history and why Mike Magee remains one of the biggest of legends for the club. I mean, this is a historical day across American soccer – probably not all in good ways.

And with three games on the horizon, what do each of the matchups look like for the club in Orlando? And was Portland the best choice for the first game of the tournament? Or will the Galaxy have trouble making it out of this group?

But we’re also going to talk about the real world and what it might look like after the tournament. Does anyone feel confident in MLS starting back up after August 11? Will games be played in home markets with the United States struggling to maintain any hold on COVID-19?

It’s a packed show with two people who are very glad to be joining you! Don’t miss it!

And as always, thanks for your listenership and support.
