LA Galaxy Assistant Coach Dominic Kinnear and Former Galaxy President and General Manager Alexi Lalas discuss the current state of the team as the long offseason begins.
COG STUDIOS, Calif. — On today’s show your host Josh Guesman is joined by two very knowledgeable guests to talk about the current state of the LA Galaxy and what the future holds.
First, Galaxy Assistant Coach Dominic Kinnear makes his podcast debut to discuss the reasons why he joined the club and decided to join Galaxy Head Coach Sigi Schmid. We’ll also discuss what he thought of the remainder of the 2017 season for the team and whether or not he found it weird to be putting on the Galaxy crest after so many years of being on the opposing bench.
The interview is a candid view into someone who clearly loves the game of soccer and is spoken very highly of by players, and coaches alike.
Next, Josh is joined by Current Fox Sports Analyst and former Galaxy General Manager and President, Alexi Lalas, to compare two of the worst seasons in club history. What was the 2008 team like? Did Lalas deserve to get fired? What can we learn about AEG making the call in 2008 to change directions but not cleaning house in 2017?
Lalas will do his best to take you back to that time and then try to put 2017 into perspective. Who holds the ultimate responsibility and have they used their power wisely?
We’ll also sprinkle in some up to date Galaxy news and let you know what lies ahead for both the podcast and the LA Galaxy!
Only 81 more days until the club returns for preseason – but it’s not like we’re counting!
