KEEP AN EYE ON: LA v SEA

After a weary defeat and a poor performance against the Vancouver Whitecaps last Saturday in Vancouver, the LA Galaxy are back in action at home on Sunday April 12th to take on the Seattle Sounders at StubHub Center at 4 PM.

It will definitely be a festive and championship mood as the first 15,000 fans inside StubHub will receive replica Championship Rings. Take that, Seattle.

The Seattle Sounders will be riding high after a 1-0 win last week against the Houston Dynamo and are currently in 5th place with 7 points, ahead of the Galaxy who are positioned in 8th in the west.

Throw out all the records from this season, as the Galaxy will for sure bring their A-game for a rematch of the 2014 Western Conference Championship. It will be interesting to see the Galaxy bounce back after an awful performance up in Vancouver. Look to see the team play with more heart and passion as well as better precision as they hope to take down the Sounders.

With injuries to Leonardo and Jose Villarreal, expect to see Bruce Arena still fiddling around with the lineup. Even though both didn’t play in Vancouver and haven’t been training, do not be surprised to see Villarreal in the starting lineup on the left.

Better attacking soccer and great collective play as a unit is what we have came to expect from the Galaxy. Even though it is only the 6th game of the season, the mistakes by the players should be going lower and lower as compared to the previous matches. After a 1-0 loss in DC and a 2-0 loss in Vancouver, this Galaxy team will definitely be looking for a win.

With the duo of Martins and Dempsey up top for the Sounders, the Galaxy defense are in for a fight with the two feisty forwards. The Sounders will be missing Pineda in the midfield, which will leave a hole for them but will still have Oswaldo Alonso in the midfield fighting it out with Juninho. Defender Leo Gonzalez might also be missing for the Sounders as well.

Be ready to see a great game, because whenever these two teams play each other… Just be ready to see some good soccer.

Tickets are still available at LAGalaxy.com, and the match will also be televised on FS1 and on the air on Beast 980, the radio home of the LA Galaxy.
