Podcast: Did the LA Galaxy Get a Goalkeeper? And Kevin Ruins Dreams!

On today’s show, your hosts discuss the LA Galaxy going after an Earthquakes Goalkeeper, and brand new rumors. And no one better say Pato!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — The LA Galaxy were busy on the market after they apparently had a deal for David Ousted go sideways and then acquire the rights to Davin Bingham. But is all not right with that deal? Could the Galaxy be without a goalkeeper going into 2018?

Your hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter are reunited in pod land to discuss all the latest Galaxy news. Kevin, while on vacation, stopped over at the Adidas factory to spy on the new Galaxy 2018 home kit. He’ll give you the briefest of hints on the new jersey while also ruining Josh’s dreams of a Galaxy vs LAFC season opener. He’s mean, sometimes!

Next, Josh and Kevin will recap the not-so-busy first stage of the MLS Re-Entry draft and they’ll once again try to convince you that the Galaxy are actually going to pick someone this time. Josh may even convince you that it’s more than one person.

Then the guys will dive into all the lastest rumors and give you any updates they can find. Will the Galaxy sign another defender before they get a striker? Who are the striker options right now and should the club take some risks for the coming year?

Josh will even get unreasonably angry about having to talk about ANOTHER PATO RUMOR! Seriously! Why?!

Finally, the guys will answer listener questions where Kevin gets called out for his clearly blatant affinity for LAFC and why he writes five articles to every one article for the Galaxy. I’m sure it has nothing to do with all the news the Galaxy are breaking every day.

It’s a great show that gets you almost all the way up to the CoG holiday break. With just a Thursday show remaining, are the Galaxy running out of time to make this a “Happy Christmas?”

Everyone at CoG wishes you a very Happy Holiday, no matter how or who you celebrate with! Thank you for letting us be a part of your 2017. And we hope (after Thursday’s show) that you make us a part of your 2018 plans, as well!
