Podcast: The one with a power outage, toilet seats, and an inconsistent Galaxy lineup

The windy SoCal weather gives CoG its first power outage in our history, and the Galaxy are inconsistent across pretty much everything!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — There really is no denying that this year’s Major League Soccer schedule is a weird one. There were so many stops and starts it’s hard to carry any momentum through international breaks that seem to come in rapid succession and then get back into a sprint toward the next break.

But what has that really done to the LA Galaxy this year? What has been lost in this constant sprint-and-stop pace that sees just six games remaining in the regular season?

On today’s show, hosts Josh Guesman and Christian Miles (Kevin Baxter is away with the USMNT) discuss why the Galaxy haven’t produced a consistent defensive lineup and why the midfield seems to have more holes in it than swiss cheese.

The guys talk about what Jonathan dos Santos and Sebastian Lletget have in common and why Rayan Raveloson has shrunk away from the world-beater that showed up to the Galaxy and put the rest of the league on notice.

Is there still time to fix both the midfield and the defense for the Galaxy? Or is it time to throw something against the wall and see what sticks?

Josh and Christian will also discuss the Galaxy’s upcoming schedule, why the race for the last playoff spot might just come down to a few teams, and what Galaxy internationals have been doing while away with their national teams.

Plus, there’s a power outage and some toilet talk! It’s a well-rounded show that touches on just about everything!
