PODCAST: An Abrupt Start to the Offseason. LA Galaxy Can’t Get it Done in El Trafico.

Another loss in the playoffs to LAFC. Do the LA Galaxy have to start worrying about their playoff legacy? Moves you want to make?

COG STUDIOS, Calif. — Do the LA Galaxy become the team that can’t win the biggest of El Trafico’s? Plus, how do you view the 2022 season?

Hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter on today’s show discuss the LA Galaxy’s loss to LAFC in the second-ever playoff El Trafico. But beyond that, they try and figure out what this season has meant and what the biggest question marks are for the club heading into the offseason.

The guys will start by looking back on a wildly entertaining El Trafico, but a game that the Galaxy came up short in because their best players didn’t show up.

Did LAFC push Riqui Puig to be outside his normal playing zone? Did they isolate Gaston Brugman? And did Douglas Costa show why the Galaxy can’t trust him for the 2023 season?

Plus, is Kevin Cabral on the trading block? Or will the Galaxy find a way to buy out his contract when push comes to shove?

We’ve got a small primer on what to expect from the offseason and why things might not really take shape until after this winter World Cup.

As always, thanks for joining us, and buckle up for another wild offseason! The Galaxy have flexibility, so how will they use it?
